Natural History: Goldenrods include a number of plant species that all share the tall plume of tiny golden flowers. They are common in pastures and meadows, spreading seeds on tiny airborne parachutes. Goldenrods are often blamed for allergies but they produce no aerial pollen - they are pollinated by insects.
