Habitat: full sun well-drained soil sites.
ID Features: toothed leaves, orange flowers with orange/yellow petals and brown central disk.
Natural History: Black-eyed susan is a common and very showy flower of the Missouri landscape. Their "petals" are actually male ray flowers while the central brown disk are female flowers.
