Missouri Plants Plantain   (Plantago lanceolata) Tracheophyta: Angiosperm: Dicot: Plantain (Plantaginaceae) Non-native from Europe Habitat: any full sun area. ID Features: oval untoothed leaves and flowers atop stalks. Natural History: Plantain has long strap-like leaves and tiny white flowers terminally located on long spikes. The plant is entirely edible. It is a common weed in yards.
