Habitat: any full sun area. ID Features: thin leaves, seeds born atop stalks. Natural History: Grasses are a very successful group of plants that colonize the largest land community/biome on earth. They range from cold prairies to tropical savannas. They pollinate via the wind and bear green flowers which produce small seeds. Corn, wheat, and rice, relatives of common lawn grasses, feed much of the world. Common lawn grasses include bluegrass, fescue, and rye.
