Crown vetch   (Securigera varia)

Non-native from Eurasia


Habitat: full sun waste areas.
ID Features: pink and white flowers, pinnate leaves.
Natural History: Crown vetch grows as a "weed" in untended areas throughout the state. The flowers are pink and white while the plant has pinnately compound leaves. The highway department planted crown vetch along road cuts to prevent erosion.
