Habitat: full sun waste areas.
ID Features: seed head with bristles.
Natural History: Bristlegrass is a very common weed whose seed heads look like miniature bristle brushes. It is a widely recognized weed because it is so common and used in play by youths. Some species grow to over 4 feet but most are nor more than 1 to 2 feet tall. They can be a serious pest in croplands.
