ID Features: unique call, light-colored body
Natural History: The Snowy tree cricket grows to 15 mm long and is found throughout Missouri. It prefers trees and shrubs of pastures and hedgerows. It is referred to as the "thermometer cricket" by its chirping frequency - found by counting the number of chirps in 15 seconds and adding 40.
